“Skills for Life” is a new camp offered by CBIT Training Ottawa that allows teenagers from 14 to 17 years of age to develop the skills they need for the life they want.
CBIT has helped thousands of business professionals achieve their personal and professional goals since it opened its doors in 2002. “Skills for Life” was created to provide these same personal and professional development opportunities to teens who are contemplating their lives and their careers.
CBIT, is a family owned company with long-term roots in the National Capital area. We are very excited about the end result. This is truly a unique learning opportunity which brings professional caliber training to the people who need it the most, our teens
What is included?

Our Facilitators
Howard Stephen Berg
A former New York City high school science teacher has spent his career researching and developing learning strategies to help individuals reduce and manage information over load. In 1989 Howard Stephen Berg was acknowledged in the 1990 Guinness Book of World Records as the “Fastest Reader in the World” for reading more than 25,000 words a minute and writing more than 100 words a minute. He will teach your teenager to increase reading speed while maintaining comprehensive.
Jim Muckle
Jim Muckle is a Certified Professional Facilitator specialized in Applied Educational Neuroscience. His over 35 years in leadership and learning enhance his work as an experienced group facilitator. He is the author and editor of several practical workshop handbooks on effective learning, memory, speed reading, capacity building, stress management, longevity, brain fitness, and other aspects of the human performance
Andy Wright
Andy is a full-time instructor for CBIT. He brings with him extensive experience in application software training, workflow management as well as in time management. He is an Officer in the Cadet Instructors Cadre. A specialist in Youth Education, he has proven experience in dealing and training teenagers.
A Master Trained Human Rights Advisor he has taken courses in communication, human rights, and alternative dispute resolution
Yolande Grande-Jones
Canadian National Team Member from 1984 to 1998, she was on our Olympic Team in Seoul Korea in 100 meter hurdles in 1988.She is a certified Track and Field Coach for the Ottawa Lions Track and Field Team. Her dynamic personality and excellent communications skills get her the results she seeks from the athletes she coaches, ages 13 to 18. She will bring a real-life experience to CBIT’s Olympic Event
